Richard Murphy, Jeffrey Goronkin, Thomas Onofrey


Richard Murphy has joined Accelrys as its senior vice president of worldwide sales and services, the company recently said.

Murphy most recently served as senior vice president, general manager, and chief sales officer of MSC Software. Prior to MSC, he held senior technical leadership positions with PDA Engineering and Ford Aerospace. He received his BS in mechanical engineering technology from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona.

Evident Technologies said last week that it has added a new vice president for sales, Jeffrey Goronkin.

Prior to joining Evident, Goronkin was senior commercial manager for Proligo, which was acquired by Sigma-Aldrich in April. Prior to his employment with Proligo, Goronkin was manager of corporate development for Integrated DNA Technologies. He holds a BS in biology from the University of Arizona.

Thomas Onofrey has joined Nanostream as director of applications development.

Prior to his employment with Nanostream, Onofrey served as manager of R&D at Millipore. He has also served as group leader for R&D at Nanogen. He completed his postdoc at the University of California at Irvine in synthetic methodology and natural product synthesis, and holds a PhD in organic chemistry from Dartmouth College.
