Olympus Life and Material Science Europa, Millipore, CXR Biosciences, Sigma-Aldrich

Olympus Life and Material Science Europa has introduced its Multiphoton deep fluorescent imaging system, which is based on the Olympus FluoView FV1000 confocal laser scanning microscope. The system is available in three models: an entry-level model; an advanced model, which includes laser attenuation via an acousto-optical modulator; and a higher-end model that includes a SIM scanner.

Millipore and CXR Biosciences have released a suite of jointly developed reagent products for pre-clinical drug development. The portfolio includes human cytochrome P450 CYP2D6 and P450 reductase, human pregnane X receptor, human constitutive androstane receptor, and human farnesoid X receptor. “Future co-development efforts will be focused on building predictive toxicity and drug metabolism screens to profile compounds in various cell based and in vitro assays,” the companies said in a statement.

Sigma-Aldrich has recently introduced Mission siRNA druggable genome libraries for human and rat. The libraries are sub-divided into 17 gene family panels, which are available for sale individually or together.
