Millipore this week announced the launch of a 96-well Millicell plate that is optimized to grow and sustain high-integrity cell monolayers.

Cells grow on Millicell plate membranes better than on plastic because the cells are nourished from both the apical and basolateral sides – thereby more closely mimicking in vivo conditions, Millipore said. The plates can be used manually or with automated cell seeding, feeding, and washing systems.
