Cellumen this week announced that it has promoted Patricia "Kate" Johnston to chief scientific officer from vice president of discovery programs.

Prior to joining Cellumen in 2005, Johnston spent more than 10 years with Sphinx Pharmaceuticals, a division of Eli Lilly. She joined Sphinx as a scientist, before being promoted to senior scientist, head of lead generation biology, and director of lead generation biology.
