John Murphy has been promoted to executive vice president and COO of PerkinElmer, a new position, the company said last week. In this position, he was replaced by John Roush, who used to be vice president of product management and global sales and customer operations for optoelectronics.

Also, Robert Friel has been promoted to executive vice president for business development and CFO. He has been PE’s CFO since 1999.
