James Jacobson, John Carrano, Oliver Meek, Robert Pineau, Trena Penney


Luminex said this week that it has appointed James Jacobson to the new position of vice president and chief scientific officer. Jacobson will be responsible for setting scientific strategy, interacting with worldwide scientific and medical leaders, and advancing xMAP technology awareness. Jacobson will continue in his role as chairman of the Luminex scientific advisory board.

Luminex also said that it has appointed John Carrano to the position of vice president of research and development, and Oliver Meek to the new position of vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs.

Artel this week announced the appointment of Robert Pineau to national accounts manager, and the hiring of Trena Penney as marketing representative. The personnel moves were designed to enhance the firm's ability to meet the demand for its new Liquid Delivery Quality Assurance service suite, the company said.
