Genetix, AbD Serotec, Guava Technologies

Hampshire, UK, based-Genetix this week announced the introduction of CellReporter, a new cell-based assay platform.
According to Genetix, CellReporter complements the company’s existing technologies for cell identification and selection, and produces qualified data for multiwell, live-cell assays at very high speed using white light and multiplexed fluorescence.
Genetix said that CellReporter assesses multiple parameters in parallel, delivering immediate analysis and normalization of data. The company said the platform includes features that validate assay read outs, ensuring that a compound hit list is available minutes following assay completion. Only biologically relevant data feeds into subsequent data processing packages.
CellReporter includes campaign-driven software, imaging instrumentation, and assay reagents for applications such as cell viability and morphology, cell proliferation, and apoptosis.
Data from CellReporter is stored in a standard format to allow export to other processing packages if required. In addition, integration with data from Genetix’s CloneSelect imager gives scientists a direct link between information about cell growth and assay data from CellReporter.

AbD Serotec, a Oxford, UK-based-antibody technology company, recently launched TC014, a triple-color reagent consisting of FITC, RPE, and Alexa Fluor 647 conjugated monoclonal antibodies mixed in optimal ratios.
This product, which is currently unique to AbD Serotec, can be used for the simultaneous detection of CD3, CD4, and CD8 cells.
TC014 uses clones CA17.A12, YKIX302.9, and YCATE55.9, which are also available as individual antibodies with a host of conjugates.

Guava Technologies, this week announced the launch of its newly revised RapidQuant IgG antibody quantification assays for mouse and human antibodies.
RapidQuant assays allow users to select optimal clones from hybridoma screens.
Results from the RapidQuant assay are read on a plate-based benchtop flow cytometer, and are equivalent to those obtained with traditional ELISAs, the company said.
