Aurora Discovery said last week that its PicoRAPTR Workstation for life sciences laboratories is now available.
Short for Picoliter Rapid Transfer Robot, the workstation provides researchers with a non-contact alternative for low-volume aspirate and dispense operations in high-density formats including microplates, slides, and chips, Aurora said. The workstation supports compound profiling, screening, ADMETox, PCR and SNP preparation, plate preparation, and oligonucleotide processing, while its 8-tip piezo dispenser and dual plate carrier stage enable liquid delivery of picoliter to microliter volumes with extremely high precision and accuracy, the company said.
Ambion and Cenix Bioscience said this week that they have launched a new RNAi library targeting the Drosophila genome.
The new library contains more than 13,000 double-stranded RNA molecules that are ready for immediate use without further synthesis or purification, said the companies.
