Aurora Discovery last week announced the availability of three new products: the NanoRaptr and BioRaptr FRD liquid handler workstations for non-contact handling of cells, protein solutions, DMSO solutions, and viscous solutions into low-volume microplates; and the ChemLib 1,536- and 3,456-well microplates for low-volume drug discovery, genomics, and proteomics research.

Beckman Coulter has introduced the Biomek FX ADME/Tox Workstation for in vitro drug permeability measurements. The new platform automates the Parallel Artificial Membrane Permeability Analysis method for the determination of passive absorption of a drug candidate through an artificial lipid membrane.

ThermoElectron last week announced the launch of the LeadStream ADME/Tox platform for conducting early-stage drug compound assessments. The platform comprises Orchestrator software for collecting and reporting ADME/Tox data; Reformatter software for online preparation of plates; WorkCell fully automated assay platform; and LC/MS analysis and quantification.

Tecan last week announced the availability of several drug-discovery products, including the Freedom EVO96R multi-channel sample dispensing and microplate processing platform for procedures in genomics, proteomics, sample preparation, compound management, and high-content screening; the LabCD ADME/Tox Evo System, which integrates the LabCD-96 microfluidics disc for a complete ADME/Tox assay platform; the Safire2 monochromator microplate reader for time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer assays based on terbium; and Cellerity, a fully automated high-throughput system for cell and protein production.

Genetix Group has launched the ClonePixFL instrument for mammalian cell imaging and picking. The ClonePixFL adds fluorescent capabilities to Genetix’s existing ClonePix platform.
