NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Sure Genomics announced today that it has signed a deal to offer Sanitas' Family Healthware health risk assessment application to its customers.

Family Healthware is a 510(k) service approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to identify a person's familial risk for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and colorectal, breast, and ovarian cancers based on a questionnaire that collects health data, behaviors, recent lab tests, and family medical history.

"Sanitas is committed to helping people better understand their health risk factors, which is a focus we share," Sure Genomics Founder and CEO said in a statement. "Together, we offer consumers and their healthcare providers reliable disease risk information, and can incorporate genetic information to help people make more informed decisions about their personal health."
