NEW YORK – Indian precision oncology firm 4baseCare said Monday that it has raised $6 million in Series A funding.
The round was led by Yali Capital and other investors.
The Bangalore-based company, which last month added former Illumina CEO Francis deSouza to its advisory board, said it plans to use the money to enhance its products and to scale up operations to further expand across India.
Over the next few months, it also plans to establish genomics laboratories in the Philippines, Nepal, and Dubai. In addition, it wants to build genomics and digital health solutions for early cancer detection, identifying different cancer types, and improving patient outcomes with targeted therapies.
Since 2019, 4baseCare has been a member of Illumina's accelerator program. In 2022, the firm announced a collaboration with AstraZeneca India to help advanced cancer patients find treatment options using genomics-based molecular profiling.
