NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – The US Federal Trade Commission today said that Thermo Fisher Scientific has agreed to sell certain assets to GE Healthcare as a condition of getting clearance for its acquisition of Life Technologies.

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – PerkinElmer today said that its planned acquisition of Caliper Life Sciences has cleared anti-trust reviews in the US and Germany.

The firms have said they expect to complete the transaction in the first half of this year.

Clearance from the FTC removes one hurdle for the $925 million deal, which is expected to close on or about Dec. 1.
