NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Genetic testing firm VHLGenetics said today that it has signed four distribution agreements for its products, covering six European nations.
Under the terms of the deals, PharmaDNA will offer VHLGenetics' products in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania; Progènes will distribute the firm's products in France for animal applications; Agrotis will handle distribution in Italy using the brand name Laboratory Genetics and Services; and Inno Laboratório Veterinário will sell VHLGenetics' dedicated canine and feline products in Portugal.
Additional terms were not disclosed.
"It is highly important for VHLGenetics to build global networks based on brands for specific markets," CEO Wim van Haeringen said in a statement. "With the increasing capacity to perform routine DNA testing, collaboration with local partners is a very attractive way to offer highly developed tests locally in the native language."
About a year ago, VHLGenetics signed a distribution agreement for Norway with BioBank. The company has also signed distribution deals covering Belgium, Ireland, Spain, and the UK.
