NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Streck said today it has signed a distribution agreement with life sciences products distribution company Biozatix for its portfolio of cell stabilization, molecular, and core products in Indonesia.
The cell stabilization products covered in the deal include Cyto-Chex BCT, a blood collection tube for the preservation of whole blood specimens for immunophenotyping by flow cytometry; Cell-Free DNA BCT, a direct-draw blood collection tube that stabilizes nucleated blood cells and prevents the release of genomic DNA; Cell-Free RNA BCT, a blood collection tube with a preservative that stabilizes circulating RNA in plasma and prevents the release of non-target background RNA from blood cells during sample processing and storage; and Cell-Free DNA Urine Preserve, a liquid reagent that stabilizes cell-free DNA in urine.
Also covered in the deal are Streck's molecular products, such as its ARM-D Kits for the detection of antibiotic resistance genes by multiplex real-time PCR and the not-yet-launched rapid real-time PCR instrument Zulu RT. The firm's core product portfolio, which includes control products that test the performance and limits of instruments and reagents, will also be distributed by Biozatix.
Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Streck has signed several distribution agreements for its products in the last three months, including in Switzerland, China, Austria, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Canada.
