NEW YORK – Sciex on Tuesday announced a pair of comarketing deals with sample separation firms IonOpticks and Evosep.
Under the agreements, Sciex will market certain of its mass spectrometers with IonOpticks' and Evosep's chromatography systems.
The agreement with IonOpticks calls for Sciex to market its ZenoTOF instruments, including its newly launched ZenoTOF 7600+ instrument, with IonOpticks' Aurora Series XS range chromatography system, which is designed for proteomics research.
"We developed the Aurora Series to provide researchers with cutting-edge chromatographic tools that enhance their sample analysis capabilities," Jarrod Sandow, chief product officer at IonOpticks, said in a statement. "Collaborating with Sciex will allow us to combine our strengths, integrating our XS range with their ZenoTOF line to deliver innovative solutions that expand the possibilities of proteomics research."
Under the agreement with Evosep, the two companies will expand an existing collaboration to make the Sciex ZenoTOF 7600+, 7500+, and 7500 mass spectrometers compatible with Evosep's Evosep One high-throughput liquid chromatography system, which allows researchers to run up to 500 samples per day.
"Over the past three years, we are excited to see this collaboration grow to encompass more of the Sciex portfolio," Jose Castro-Perez, Sciex's VP of product management, said in a statement. "This latest achievement will allow scientist to harness the power of ZT Scan DIA data to precisely quantify proteins with up to tenfold improvement in throughput for protein quantitation. Utilizing the Evosep One with SPD methods provides the speed and flexibility of analysis which perfectly matches with the performance of ZT Scan DIA."
Financial and other terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
