NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) - MilliporeSigma and Roche announced today that they have renewed a global distribution agreement for certain reagents and qPCR products.
The agreement covers the distribution of Roche's biochemical reagents and Kapa Biosystems portfolios, and select qPCR and nucleic acid purification products. The original deal, which was initiated in 2015 with a five-year term, has now been extended through 2025.
The agreement was expanded in late 2016 to include the Kapa products acquired by Roche in 2015, as well as Roche's High Pure Kits, Transcriptor reagents, EagleTaq and FastStart master mixes for non-LightCycler Systems, and Universal Probe library probes and assays, according to MilliporeSigma's website.
Under the terms of the agreement, MilliporeSigma will continue to utilize its sales, marketing, and e-commerce expertise, providing customers with access to the Roche products. The firms noted that the Kapa Biosystems products are excluded in the US and Japan.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
