Revvity Seeks Injunction Against Cloud Software Group Over Alleged Contract Violations

NEW YORK – Revvity said Wednesday that the firm is seeking a court injunction against Tibco Software business unit Cloud Software Group on accusations that CSG violated the terms of their agreement, contacted Revvity's customers, and marketed Spotfire products in Revvity's exclusive markets.

The Waltham, Massachusetts-based firm has filed a complaint against CSG in the Massachusetts Superior Court and asked the court to enforce the terms of the agreement between the firms. The firm did not detail its accusations against CSG. Tibco and CSG officials were not immediately reached for comment.

Revvity, which previously went under the PerkinElmer name, inked a licensing agreement with Tibco in 2012 for the exclusive global rights to market Tibco's Spotfire software platform in some R&D markets. The firms expanded that agreement the following year to include clinical research and development applications.
