NEW YORK – Quantum-Si on Friday priced a registered direct offering of $50 million of its shares of common stock.
The Branford, Connecticut-based protein sequencing firm is selling 15,625,000 shares of common stock at $3.20 per share to certain institutional investors.
It said it will use the proceeds after deducting agent commissions and other offering expenses for working capital and general corporate purposes.
Quantum-Si's share price has experienced a dramatic run-up in recent days. It closed Friday at $4.29 per share, up nearly threefold from its Dec. 24, 2024, closing price of $1.30. The company did not report any news during this time that appeared to drive the rise in price.
Quantum-Si said the closing of the offering is expected to occur on or about Jan. 6, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
