Quantum-Si Inks Agreement With 3Genes Distribution for Europe

NEW YORK – Proteomics firm Quantum-Si said Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement with 3Genes Distribution to sell its Platinum protein sequencing instrument in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.

The agreement follows a deal Quantum-Si announced in November with Bulgarian firm ELTA 90 to distribute the Platinum in Southeast Europe.

Financial and other terms of the latest agreement were not disclosed.

The Platinum instrument uses amino acid-specific probes to identify single protein molecules and post-translational modifications. Quantum-Si booked its first revenues from sales of the instrument in the first quarter of the year.

"Expanding our reach through agreements with an industry leader like 3Genes aligns with our mission to revolutionize proteomics," Quantum-Si CEO Jeff Hawkins said in a statement.
