Proteome Sciences Signs Deal to Join MedBiomix Network

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – MedBiomix today announced a collaboration with Proteome Sciences to provide clinicians with expertise on how to utilize protein expression data to help improve patient care.

Cobham, UK-based Proteome Sciences joins MedBiomix's network of firms seeking to advance data-driven patient care. The global network includes medical centers of excellence, molecular diagnostic and genomics professionals, and representatives from the diagnostics and pharmaceutical industries, MedBiomix said in a statement.

Proteome Science's "knowledge in measurement of protein expression and post-translational modifications will bring an additional, very important dimension to our set of expertise beyond DNA and RNA analysis," Patrice Denèfle, co-founder of MedBiomix Partners, said in a statement.

Proteome Sciences also provides biomarker discovery and validation, and assay development services.

Financial and other details of the agreement were not disclosed.
