People in the News: New Appointments at Twist Bioscience, Akoya Biosciences, Miroculus, More

Twist Bioscience: Tracey Mullen, Nimisha Srivastava, Patrick Weiss

Twist Bioscience has promoted Tracey Mullen to senior VP of operations and Nimisha Srivastava to senior VP of R&D. Patrick Weiss will step down from his role as COO into a strategic adviser role for personal reasons, effective April 21, 2022. 

Mullen joined Twist through its acquisition of Abveris, where she was CEO. Prior to that, she served as Abveris' chief operating officer and on the antibody discovery team at Biogen. Mullen holds an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.

Srivastava built the core technology team at Twist, where she has worked since March 2014. Prior to Twist, she held technical and leadership roles at various startups and labs. She holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.


Akoya Biosciences: Ehab El-Gabry

Akoya Biosciences has named Ehab El-Gabry chief medical officer, where he will lead efforts to move the company's spatial biology platforms into the clinical setting.

El-Gabry was previously senior medical director for Roche Tissue Diagnostics Personalized Health Care Solutions, where he led the development of multiple digital and manual scoring algorithms and predictive assays.


Miroculus: Mark Lewis

Miroculus has appointed Mark Lewis as executive chairman.

Lewis will work with the firm's executives on commercialization of the Miro Canvas platform. He has served on the company's board since October 2018.

Lewis was interim CEO at Swift Biosciences from 2017 to 2018 and a board member from 2017 to 2021. Before that, he held several senior management roles at Illumina, including senior VP of product development.
