People in the News: New Appointments at Lunaphore, Meridian Bioscience, Oxford Nanopore, More

Lunaphore: Alice Feng

Swiss spatial biology company Lunaphore has hired Alice Feng as CFO, effective Jan. 31. Feng most recently served as CFO of Scripps Research. She joined Scripps as senior director of corporate development and finance in 2017. Prior to that Feng worked with Scripps Health and Aetna as senior director of corporate development, and earlier in her career she spent more than 11 years in investment banking including with Merrill Lynch and Morgan Joseph. Feng holds a B.S. in business economics and microbiology and molecular genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles.


Meridian Bioscience: John McIlwraith

Meridian Bioscience announced that John McIlwraith has been elected chairman of the firm's board of directors. McIlwraith is managing director at technology venture capital firm Allos Ventures and was previously managing director of Blue Chip Venture Company. He was also previously senior VP of strategic planning and general counsel of Quantum Health Resources and a partner at Jones Day law firm. McIlwraith has served on the boards of more than 20 healthcare and information technology companies, including as chairman and lead director of pharmacogenetic testing company Assurex Health. He was appointed to Meridian's board in 2015.


Oxford Nanopore Technologies: Wendy Becker

Oxford Nanopore Technologies has appointed Wendy Becker as senior independent director. Becker joined Oxford Nanopore in June 2021 as an independent non-executive director. Prior to joining the company, she served as chair for Logitech International, non-executive director of Sony, and member of the council of the University of Oxford.
