Mission Bio: Roman Haehn

Roman Haehn has been appointed as chief commercial officer of Mission Bio, where he will lead the global marketing and commercial teams, business development, sales operations, field applications, and customer support. He joins the company from Agena Bioscience, where he was executive VP and general manager as well as senior VP and chief commercial officer. Previously, he held leadership roles at Luminex and Ventana Medical Systems.


Seer: Zachary Crowther

Proteomics technology company Seer has appointed Zachary Crowther as VP of global marketing. Before joining Seer, Crowther spent eight years at Cepheid, culminating in his role as VP of global product management. Prior to his time at Cepheid, Crowther was at Nanosphere for 11 years where he advanced to the position of director of marketing. Crowther holds a B.S. degree in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University.


Sysmex America: Dan Zortman

Dan Zortman has been named the CEO of Sysmex America. He replaces Andy Hay, who has been the CEO since 2021 and will remain Sysmex America's chairman and president. Zortman has more than 33 years of experience in the diagnostics industry and was most recently VP of commercial operations at Roche. Previously, he was national director of sales and marketing for Roche Canada. Before Roche, he worked in sales at Pharmacia Dx, Sanofi Diagnostics, now part of Beckman Coulter, Bio-Rad Laboratories, and Chiron, now part of Siemens.


SMi Systems: Stefan Hamill

SMi Systems, a developer of multiomic single-molecule imaging technology, has appointed Stefan Hamill as VP of strategy. Hamill was formerly a senior analyst at investment banks Numis (now Deutsche Numis) and Peel Hunt. He holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge.


Next Gen Diagnostics: Alexander Sundermann

Alexander Sundermann has joined Next Gen Diagnostics as director of infection prevention services, a part-time position. He is a researcher in the department of epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health.
