Element Biosciences: Danae Van Oene

Element Biosciences has appointed Danae Van Oene as senior VP of global sales and support. Before coming to Element, Van Oene was 10x Genomics' VP and general manager for the Americas region. She also led 10x's global sales programs, global distribution, and strategic partnerships. Prior to that, she held global sales management roles at Illumina and was distribution territory manager for Beckman Coulter.


CareDx: Bryan Riggsbee

Bryan Riggsbee has succeeded George Bickerstaff on CareDx's board of directors, effective March 11. Riggsbee will serve as chair of the audit and finance committee and Bickerstaff will continue to serve on the committee. Riggsbee previously served as chief financial officer at Myriad Genetics. Prior to that, he worked at Laboratory Corporation of America, and has held finance roles at General Electric and KPMG.


Nuclera: Joseph Bertelsen

Proteomics company Nuclera has appointed Joseph Bertelsen as chief commercial officer. Bertelsen joins Nuclera from the Institute for Protein Innovation, where he was director of commercialization. He has also previously held numerous senior positions at protein-focused companies including senior VP of global sales and marketing at Diagenode (acquired by Hologic) and director of sales at Abcam. He holds a M.Sc. in pharmaceutical medicine from Hibernia College in Ireland and a B.Sc. in chemical engineering from Michigan State University.


Genomtec: Gualtiero Garlasco, Beata Turlejska

Polish genetic diagnostics company Genomtec announced Gualtiero Garlasco and Beata Turlejska have been appointed to its supervisory board, effective March 12. They will serve on Genomtec's audit committee and replace Jaroslaw Oleszczuk and Karol Hop. Garlasco is the former GM for Cerus Europe. Before that, he was VP of global sales and marketing for Thermo Fisher Scientific's clinical diagnostics division. Turlejska has been a managing partner at Leonarto Fund, a main shareholder in Genomtec. Previously, she managed one of the largest marketing agencies in Poland.
