DNA Script: Marc Montserrat, Thomas Ybert
Marc Montserrat has been appointed as CEO of French enzymatic DNA synthesis company DNA Script. He succeeds founding CEO Thomas Ybert, who is becoming CSO, a new position at the firm. Montserrat previously cofounded genetic medicine company Splice Bio. He also held senior leadership roles at Ariosa Diagnostics, Omniome, and Deepcell.
NYU Langone Health: Shridar Ganesan
Shridar Ganesan has been appointed as director of the new Center for Molecular Oncology at NYU Langone Health's Perlmutter Cancer Center. He joins NYU Langone from the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where he was chief of molecular oncology and associated director for translational research. Ganesan previously held academic titles at Harvard Medical School and at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He holds an M.D. and a Ph.D. in cell biology from Yale University.
Twist Bioscience: Mike Fero
Twist Bioscience has appointed Mike Fero as chief information officer. Fero comes to Twist from TeselaGen Biotechnology, where he was cofounder and CEO. Prior to TeselaGen, he was a principal investigator and NIH Career Fellow at Stanford University where he explored the signaling pathways that govern the bacteria cell cycle through the development of an automated epifluorescence microscopy platform. He also served as director of Stanford Functional Genomics, where he collaborated on the development of the first human and murine genome scale microarrays. Prior to Stanford, Fero served as VP of software engineering at Neomorphic. He holds a doctorate in physics from the University of California, Irvine.
