Qiagen Pharmacogenomic Insights

Qiagen's Digital Insights business has launched Pharmacogenomic Insights (PGXI), a knowledgebase designed to help scientific and translational researchers better understand how an individual's genetic makeup influences their response to medications. The knowledgebase contains data from all established pharmacogenomic information sources, including the US Food and Drug Administration, the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium, the Dutch Pharmacogenetics Working Group, the Pharmacogene Variation Consortium, and curated articles from the biomedical literature database PubMed, to provide accurate, up-to-date evidence in one centralized location. Users can submit pharmacogenomic test results to PGXI and rapidly query and identify relevant gene-drug associations and conditions linked to specific genotypes.

Sciex ZenoTOF 7600+

Sciex has launched its ZenoTOF 7600+ mass spectrometer. The instrument has scanning speeds of up to 640 Hz and features electron activated dissociation as well as the company's ZT Scan DIA method, which combines a multi-acquisition combination of DDA, DIA, and targeted approaches within a single workflow.

Leica Microsystems SpectraPlex

Leica Microsystems has released SpectraPlex, a 3D high-multiplex imaging product for spatial phenotyping life science research on the Stellaris confocal microscopy platform. SpectraPlex allows users to capture and image more than 15 markers in parallel. The platform also offers an offline option to design experiments and explore optimal dye combinations to create panels for high-multiplex imaging.

Inagene Diagnostics Cardiovascular Health Test

Toronto-based Inagene Diagnostics has launched its Cardiovascular Health Test in Canada. The new pharmacogenetic test uses a simple cheek swab and provides a pharmacogenetic analysis for 49 medications, such as clopidogrel, warfarin, and various statins, and more than 80 gene variants. Genetic analysis is performed in Inagene's CLIA-accredited Toronto laboratory.
