LetsGetChecked: MyGeneticScreen
LetsGetChecked has launched MyGeneticScreen, a genetic testing service that provides information about a person's predisposition to certain inherited cancers and hereditary cardiovascular disease. The test, which includes pre- and post-testing genetic counseling, uses a saliva sample collected at home and analyzes 11 genes associated with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC) syndrome, Lynch syndrome, and familial hypercholesterolemia at the firm's CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited laboratory. All three conditions are classified by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as actionable tier 1 conditions. According to the company, co-headquartered in Dublin and New York, the test is currently available for purchase by enterprise clients.
