Clear Labs Clear Dx Whole-Genome Sequencing Kit for SARS-CoV-2

Clear Labs has launched the Clear Dx whole-genome sequencing solution for enhanced screening and genomic surveillance of SARS-CoV-2.

Intended for use with samples that have already tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by another method, the automated next-generation sequencing assay provides the complete RNA genome of the virus in less than 24 hours with approximately 30 minutes of hands-on time. The kit is for research use only.


NRichDx Revolution Sample Prep Semi-Automated Workflow

NRichDx has launched its semi-automated Revolution Sample Prep Workflow, powered by Eppendorf's epMotion 5073 instrument, for extraction of cell-free and circulating tumor DNA from a wide range of input sample volumes. The firm has designed the workflow to increase yield, sensitivity, and throughput by delivering more target cfDNA and ctDNA for molecular assays with increased automation and reduced hands-on technician time. The workflow allows for extraction from batches of eight to 24 samples in as little as three hours.


Qiagen QiAcuity One-Step Viral RT-PCR Kit for Wastewater Testing

Qiagen has launched a dedicated RT-PCR kit for SARS-CoV-2 wastewater testing on the company's QiAcuity Digital PCR platform. QiAcuity precisely quantifies minimal quantities of DNA and RNA, making it ideal for research tests for viruses, bacteria, or genetic disorders. The platform is available in a one-plate, four-plate, and eight-plate version, all of which feature flexible sample throughput and the ability to simultaneously detect up to five target sequences. This enables the QiAcuity Eight, for instance, to process up to 1,248 samples in one working day, Qiagen said.
