Applied BioCode STI+ Resistance Panel

Applied BioCode has launched the STI+ Resistance Panel for research use only on the BioCode MDx-3000 system. This multiplex nucleic acid amplification test qualitatively detects DNA from Chlamydia trachomatis (CT), Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG), Trichomonas vaginalis (TV), and Mycoplasma genitalium (MG), as well as macrolide-resistant and fluoroquinolone-resistant SNP mutations in a single reaction. Results are generated approximately four hours post-DNA extraction using the MDx-3000 platform, which features an intuitive protocol and reporting software and can accommodate up to 96 samples per test run, the company said.

MilliporeSigma Aptegra CHO Genetic Stability Assay

MilliporeSigma has launched the Aptegra CHO genetic stability assay. The assay uses whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatics to accelerate biosafety testing. It replaces five different assays and four technologies used in previous safety testing, reducing time by 66 percent and cost by 43 percent, according to the company. It meets all regulatory requirements for genetic stability assurance, including copy number assessment.

BioBam OmicsBox 3.2

BioBam has launched OmicsBox 3.2, a bioinformatics toolkit for single-cell and long-read sequencing data analysis.

OmicsBox 3.2 includes tools for functional analysis, data visualization and annotation, isoform reconstruction, and transcript quantification. It also includes updates to the genetic variation module to enable population structure analysis and VCF data manipulation, filtering, phasing, and imputation, the company said.

New England Biolabs Monarch Mag Viral DNA/RNA Extraction Kit

New England Biolabs has launched the Monarch Mag Viral DNA/RNA extraction kit. It enhances the recovery of low amounts of viral nucleic acid by using a magnetic bead-based process. The kit, which enables high-throughput automation, is compatible with common sample types including saliva, respiratory swabs, and enriched wastewater.
