10x Genomics Chromium Xo

10x Genomics has launched the Chromium Xo, a new lower-cost version of its single-cell isolation instrument. Chromium Xo is specifically designed to run 10x's GEM-X 3' single-cell gene expression assay. It carries a US list price of $25,000. 10x said it will provide a path for customers to upgrade the Chromium Xo to the higher-throughput Chromium X to access the company's full single cell portfolio, including assays for formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples and immune profiling.

Integrated DNA Technologies New Archer HRD Technology

Integrated DNA Technologies has launched new homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) assays to its Archer product portfolio. The company said the new HRD assays complement existing Archer microsatellite (MSI) and tumor mutational burden (TMB) assessment capabilities. The new assays include the VariantPlex HRD module, which can be run alone or spiked into other Archer panels, the VariantPlex Complete Solid Tumor v2 panel, and the VariantPlex Pan Solid Tumor v2 panel.

Eclipsebio eSense dsRNA Assay

Eclipsebio has launched the eSense dsRNA assay, a next-generation sequencing method for the quantification, localization, and optimization of double-stranded RNA contaminants in RNA-based vaccines and therapeutics. The new assay overcomes the limitations of current antibody-based methods for detecting dsRNA contamination because its NGS approach can detect short dsRNA fragments, the company said. In addition to providing reproducible quantification of dsRNA levels similar to dot blot and ELISA methods, the assay also identifies where dsRNA generation begins and ends, providing Eclipsebio's biopharma partners with sequence optimizations to reduce dsRNA generation during RNA synthesis. The assay will be offered exclusively as part of the company's eMerge platform for RNA-based medicine characterization and optimization.

Ginkgo Bioworks Ginkgo Automation

Ginkgo Bioworks has launched Ginkgo Automation, a new product line that offers customers modular automation technologies developed for the firm's cell engineering platform.

The automation offering includes: reconfigurable automation carts (RACs), which are modular, flexible carts equipped with lab instruments, robotic arms, sample transport tracks, utility access, and optional HEPA filters; automation control software (ACS), web-based, collaborative software to control connected RACs and instruments; and managed automation solution (MAS), remote support featuring continuous monitoring, error recovery, maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.

RACs also come available as reconfigurable automation tiles, a benchtop form factor.
