IMGM Receives GLP Certification

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Martinsried, Germany-based genomics service provider IMGM Laboratories said today it has received Good Laboratory Practice certification from the Bavarian Health and Food Safety Authority.

GLP is a system covering the organizational process and conditions under which non-clinical health and environmental safety studies are planned, performed, monitored, recorded, archived, and reported.

The certification complements IMGM's ISO 17025 accreditation and Good Clinical Practice Quality Management system, IMGM Head of Quality Assurance Michael Haberl said in a statement. In 2012, the firm added GCP elements, including controlled archives for documents, and "now we [have] implemented GLP-specific requirements, including controlled archives for retention samples and the maintenance of a master schedule, to add regulatory compliance for pre-clinical studies," he said in a statement.

IMGM is a genomic service provider with a focus on biomarker discovery, biodistribution, pharmacogenetics, and metagenomics.
