NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Illumina today named Pensabio as its new distribution partner in Brazil.
Headquartered in Sao Paulo, Pensabio distributes life science analytical instruments and diagnostics. It will now deliver Illumina's sequencing platforms and products by leveraging its experience in logistical support, technical expertise in analytical instruments, and network, Illumina said. It has started taking orders from Illumina customers in Brazil.
Mark Van Oene, Illumina's vice president and general manager of Americas Commercial Operations, said that Pensabio was chosen on the strength of its presence and reputation in Brazil. "Through the synergy of this partnership, we will transform our services and better meet the growing market demands for our Brazilian customers," he said.
