Illumina Completes GenoLogics Acquisition

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Illumina today announced it has completed the acquisition of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) software developer GenoLogics.

The firm announced it would buy Victoria, British Columbia-based GenoLogics in early August for an undisclosed amount.

"Adopted by more than 120 genomic labs worldwide, GenoLogics' Clarity LIMS software strengthens our industry-leading portfolio of genetic analysis solutions," Illumina President Francis deSouza said in a statement.

In September 2014, Illumina selected Clarity as its preferred LIMS for the HiSeq X Ten sequencing platform.
