IDT Receives ISO Certification for Environmental Management Systems

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Oligonucleotide synthesis firm Integrated DNA Technologies said today its San Diego manufacturing site has received ISO 14001:2004 certification for its environmental management systems. 

As a result, both of the company's manufacturing facilities, including the one in Coralville, Iowa, where the company is headquartered, have ISO 14001-certified environmental management systems. The Coralville space was certified in 2012 and recertified last year, IDT said.  

The company supplies custom nucleic acids to the life sciences research and development market, including applications in qPCR, sequencing, functional genomics, and synthetic biology. It manufactures and ships an average of 44.000 custom nucleic acids each day to more than 82,000 customers globally, it said.
