GATC Biotech Reorganizes into Three Divisions

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Constance, Germany-based sequencing services firm GATC Biotech announced on Dec. 2 a structural reorganization that divides its products and services into three divisions.

Sequencing Solutions will house the firm's Sanger sequencing and next-generation sequencing services, including its NGSelect and InView products. Customized Solutions will oversee consulting and project design services. Diagnostic Solutions will target opportunities to apply the firm's sequencing capabilities in areas such as oncology and companion diagnostics.  

The move will increase efficiency and flexibility, allowing GATC to secure and extend its market positions, the firm said in a statement.
