Cartagenia, N-of-One Combine Analysis, Interpretation Products

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Cartagenia and N-of-One have signed an agreement that will give customers of Cartagenia's Bench Lab NGS software solution access to N-of-One's clinical interpretation services

The agreement lets pathology laboratories that use Bench Lab NGS integrate N-of-One's genomic and tumor interpretations into their somatic variant analysis and reporting. It complements Bench Lab NGS by providing "tailored, patient-specific insights that will efficiently support the pathologists in providing physicians with the relevant information regarding drugs, trials, and treatment options," Steven Van Vooren, scientific co-founder of Cartagenia, said in a statement. Moreover, the combined solution lets labs "include configurable N-of-One clinical interpretation in their lab reports in a single, controlled, and supervised workflow."

Moreover, the combined offering will "allow clinical laboratories to keep up with the scale and pace of change in knowledge, and support their physicians in patient treatment planning," Chris Cournoyer, CEO of N-of-One, added.

Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

To promote the partnership, N-of-One and Cartagenia will run joint marketing initiatives informing customers of the benefits and advantages of using both solutions. Cartagenia will also discuss the integrated offering at the American College of Medical Genetics annual meeting, which will be held March 25 – 27 in Salt Lake City.
