NEW YORK — Calibre Scientific said on Monday that it has acquired Ontario-based life science product distributor Canadian Life Science.
Financial and other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Canadian Life Science distributes a range of consumables for chromatography including vials and caps, liquid and gas chromatography columns, and sample preparation products. Los Angeles-based Calibre said the acquisition would help expand its geographic reach.
"The regional and technical expertise of Canadian Life Science will enable Calibre Scientific to expand our pan-European distribution network into North America, creating exciting opportunities for co-sales as we increase the scope of our customer interactions through the breadth and depth of the product offering we can bring into the region," Calibre Chief Revenue Officer Mike Brownleader said in a statement.
In January, Calibre acquired NeXtal, a producer of structural biology products, and in June, the firm closed a $92 million multicurrency facility that it said would in part be used to fund potential acquisitions.
