NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – BioReference Laboratories and healthcare technology firm The Garage have formed a national affiliation to provide physicians with advanced tools "to guide quality value-based care," Opko Health said today.
BioReference is an Opko business.
The alliance will combine The Garage's technology platform called Bridge with BioReference's diagnostics know-how and test results to provide doctors with insight into their patients' health status. The new information, the firms said, will help doctors manage their reporting requirements on standard quality instruments, including HEDIS, PQRS, and GPRO, improving risk scores and providing better care for individual patients.
Bridge provides comprehensive population health management experience to providers and care teams. Physicians can use the intelligent lab ordering system within the platform, and patients can have live consultations using the platform, which also ensure doctors' electronic health records are updated with timely patient information.
Based in Orlando, Florida, The Garage provides population health management tools to more than 7,000 doctors. Its tools enable individualized patient treatment, the companies said.
Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"Our ability to aggregate and analyze diverse data sets is key to success in population health and our affiliation with BioReference will not only help us broaden our market reach but will also help us serve our customers with deeper insights," The Garage Founder and CeO Pranam Ben said in a statement.
