Bioké Distributing Horizon Discovery Reference Standards in Netherlands

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Bioké has signed a distribution deal covering Horizon Discovery Group's reference standards in the Netherlands, the companies announced on Monday.

Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The use of external controls, such as Horizon Discovery's reference standards, can provide higher intra- and interlaboratory reproducibility in the analysis of clinical samples, leading to more accurate diagnoses and better treatments, the partners said.

Bioké Director of Marketing and Sales Koos Kranenborg said that the deal strengthens his firm's capabilities to provide complete workflows to customers using next-generation sequencing, Sanger sequencing, immunohistochemistry, qPCR, droplet digital PCR, and fluorescent in situ hybridization methods.

Bioké is headquartered in Leiden, the Netherlands and provides life science and diagnostic solutions in the Benelux region.
