NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Bioké said today that it has agreed to exclusively distribute Acea Biosciences' xCelligence cell analyzer in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
According to Bioké, the xCelligence platform — initially developed by Acea and Roche — uses micro sensor arrays integrated into the bottom of well plates to enable label-free, real-time monitoring of cell attachment quality, cell proliferation, and cell invasion/migration. By continuously providing this data over both short and long time frames, the system helps provides a phenotypic view of cellular behavior in great detail, the company said.
Specific terms of the companies' deal were not disclosed.
Biokée previously signed agreements to distribute several other products in the Benelux region, including Horizon Discovery Group's reference standards, RainDance's RainDrop Digital PCR systems, and products from Advanced Cell Diagnostics.
