NEW YORK – Bioinformatics company Almaden Genomics said Tuesday that it has partnered with data analysis firm Elucidata to integrate the companies' respective data analysis platforms.
Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
As part of the collaboration, the firms will combine Almaden's G.nome cloud-based bioinformatic analysis tool with Elucidata’s Polly biomedical data platform to provide end-to-end analysis for researchers.
"Partnerships like this help us populate the complete analysis pipeline in G.nome, which gives researchers an easy starting point, allowing them to explore their data and get to insights faster," Almaden CEO David Gascoigne said in a statement.
Based in Dallas, Almaden is commercializing a data platform for managing bioinformatics workflows that was initially developed by IBM.
The company previously struck a similar partnership with Switzerland-based BigOmics to integrate G.nome with the latter’s Playground visualization and interpretation system.
