Almaden Genomics, BigOmics Analytics to Integrate Data Analysis Platforms

NEW YORK – Almaden Genomics and BigOmics Analytics said on Thursday that they will collaborate to integrate their respective data analysis platforms.

Under the terms of the collaboration, the firms will integrate BigOmics' Omics Playground visualization and interpretation system with Almaden's G.nome cloud data science platform to provide end-to-end analysis for researchers.

Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Connecting Omics Playground with the G.nome solution gives researchers an easy transition into downstream analysis," Almaden CEO David Gascoigne said in a statement.

Switzerland-based BigOmics helps expedite tertiary analysis by providing a centralized, interactive, and collaborative platform for scientists to scale their omics data analysis, obtain reproducible results, and share data and insights.

Dallas-based Almaden is commercializing a data platform for building and managing bioinformatics workflows, initially developed by IBM.
