NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Affymetrix today announced a global partnership with Athletigen Technologies to use the Axiom genotyping platform in its sports-related direct-to-consumer genetic analysis service.

The Athletigen microarray analyzes 850,000 genetic variants that it claims can influence human athletic performance.

Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
