ABL Diagnostics, AB Analitica Ink Distribution Deal for Microbiology Genotyping Tests in Italy

NEW YORK – French diagnostic firm ABL Diagnostics announced on Wednesday that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with AB Analitica to commercialize microbiology genotyping solutions in Italy. 

Under the agreement, Padua, Italy-based AB Analitica will have the rights to promote and commercialize ABL Diagnostics' assays and software systems to all laboratories in Italy, ABL Diagnostics said in a statement. 

Woippy, France-based ABL offers its UltraGene line of PCR-based assays and its DeepChek line of genotyping DNA sequencing-based tests. The firm has CE-IVD-marked tests for a variety of diseases, including HIV, tuberculosis, SARS-CoV-2, and viral hepatitis B and C.

Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"Our network of distributors has been in constant expansion for a decade now," Dimitri Gonzalez, head of diagnostics at ABL, said in a statement. "We are glad to onboard AB Analitica in order to be in a position to offer together robust and comprehensive solutions to all laboratories in Italy willing to implement simple and innovative sequencing-based solutions."

AB Analitica specializes in the development and sale of diagnostic systems for professional use, with a focus on molecular diagnostics in microbiology, virology, oncology, and genetics, ABL said.
