NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Becton Dickinson this week completed the sale of its Discovery Labware business to Corning for approximately $720 million in cash. The sale excludes BD's Advanced Bioprocessing platform.


Empire Genomics has opened a new clinical lab facility at its headquarters on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in upstate New York and expects to create more than 50 new jobs within the next five years. The firm also introduced this week its multiple myeloma test for aiding physicians in therapeutic guidance.
