In response to a reader, blogger Janet Stemwedel offers advice on how to counter unethical behavior -- and what senior people can do to help junior scientists. First, she says, keep records and teach younger scientists to do the same. She also advises senior people to set an example and speak up. But the comments on her blog are jaded ("none of your suggestions above would work") so she added a second post, asking senior scientists to share what they do when they hear a complaint.
