Nick Loman at Pathogens: Genes and Genomes points out that James Hadfield has made a Google map of known sequencing facilities in the UK. It's since expanded to include facilities in the US, Europe, and India. Loman summarizes the UK data in a chart on his blog and finds that, excluding the Sanger Centre, the most common next-gen platform among those reported is the Illumina Solexa.
