What Are the Odds?

If you're worried about your odds of receiving a grant out of the stimulus package funds, a post at Science Insider says that you perhaps should have opted for a competitive revision. NIH received a meager 1,600 of those (compared to 20,000 Challenge Grant applications and the 2,400 letters of intent for the Grand Opportunity grants). Science Insider adds that NIH will fund about 600 of the competitive revision applications, and notes that's a success rate exceeding 30 percent.
