Microsoft's wheeling and dealing again, aided by its claims that Linux software violates hundreds of its patents. In the most recent deal, Microsoft agreed not to sue LG Electronics, which uses the open-source platform in its consumer electronics products -- in return for which the software giant will gain access to IP produced by LG, according to this article from Information Week. Not a great time for the open-source community, it would seem.
