Trade One Over-Priced City for Another

Keith Robison pleads with Vertex's CEO to not move out of Massachusetts -- the company is concerned that it will outgrow the Boston area. Robison says that large companies can benefit from being near other corporations and that a move will be disruptive and cause them to lose talent.

There's no word on where Vertex is considering moving, but The New York Times' Bits blog reports on where the high-tech job capital is -- and it's not Silicon Valley, but New York. New York has 316,500 high-tech jobs while Silicon Valley has 225,300, says the Times blog.
